Allianz European Reliance chooses DGTAL's GRABBER for claims pilot

Athens, December 19th, 2024 – DGTAL announces its collaboration with Allianz European Reliance, a member of the leading insurance group Allianz, for a pilot test of GRABBER, an application based on Artificial Intelligence and intelligent Document Processing.

GRABBER, an innovative Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solution, uses large language models (LLM) trained and adapted to the insurance industry to analyse documents with unstructured data such as invoices, medical and pharmaceutical receipts, referrals, medical reports, etc. The data is exported in formats such as CSV or Excel and integrated into systems and databases for further processing. The result is time and cost savings, improved efficiency, minimized manual labour and anti-fraud control. GRABBER supports all languages and has excellent performance in Greek.

Teaming up with DGTAL, Allianz aims to leverage GRABBER to process outpatient receipts and medical diagnoses submitted for reimbursement, aiming at faster processing, more effective detection of errors or fraud, and improved claims experience.

Vanda Giannara, Chief Client Officer, DGTAL, stated: “The development and integration of Artificial Intelligence into the claims process is accelerating. The number of claims using four or more AI solutions more than doubles year on year. In Greece, we are already seeing the adoption of innovative applications that offer an improved and personalized experience to customers. We are proud of the opportunity to collaborate with leading insurance organizations, such as Allianz, offering new technological capabilities and prospects”.

Isabella Vitou, Chief Operation Officer, Allianz Greece, added: “Artificial Intelligence is shaping the future of the insurance industry, improving efficiency, productivity, and customer experience. Recognizing its importance, Allianz has started integrating AI into various functions aiming to add value to all business operations. The combined use of technology, reliability, and human experience ensures the best possible outcome for our policyholders”.
