Insurtech DGTAL, founded by Arndt Gossmann, and consulting firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) in Switzerland plan to collaborate in the area of claims processing using artificial intelligence. PwC will use the DGTAL platform Driller, which can perform detailed portfolio analyses and identify patterns in claims constellations using innovative AI agents.

The Hamburg-based insurtech company DGTAL, founded by Arndt Gossmann, will collaborate with the Swiss branch of the consulting firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) in the future. The companies want to further develop the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in claims processing for insurers, according to a press release.

The focus is on the DGTAL platform Driller, which was designed specifically for insurers. AI agents will support PwC's consulting services to better understand and analyze structured and unstructured data.

The system enables users to identify helpful patterns in claims constellations and cost levers in portfolios, for example, as Gossmann explained to Versicherungsmonitor. It can also provide assistance in the area of product development.

In Gossmann's view, AI agents are particularly suitable for operational business [2] because they think independently, make their own decisions, and save time and money. This enables insurers to further develop and automate their working methods.

Initial projects with various customers are already showing progress in data quality, transparency, and efficiency, according to DGTAL. The company sees itself as a pioneer in the development and operation of analytical and generative AI for the insurance industry.

The insurtech company DGTAL was founded during the coronavirus pandemic. Gossmann and co-founder Florian Herzog saw suitable applications for AI primarily in claims processing and portfolio valuation. In 2022, they founded the company together with Vanda Giannara and Richard Hundt.
